Kindermusik for 1's and young 2's
45 minute classes, with parents.
Even more than singing and playing instruments. Kindermusik Level 1 classes include those things, along with opportunities for toddlers to explore new movement and language skills through dance, creative movement, echo songs, and more. This age group rarely sits; so picture a class of mostly moving toddlers. That is a Level 1 class!
What to expect...
Object Exploration: From hoops to mirrors to scarves and shakers, you and your little one will explore new objects together to help boost fine motor skills and other key milestones.
Vocal Plays: Your turn! Babies and toddlers will participate in back-and-forth vocal plays and other parent-child interactions, helping them with early language development.
Basic Music Concepts: Tap, tap, tap...Level 1 students will learn how to keep a steady beat and experience opposites in music, such as high/low and fast/slow.
More Complex Songs: You’ll take it up a notch and enjoy singing songs with your little one that include motions, repeated words, and different meters and modes.
Movement: Ready, set, move! Babies and toddlers begin to develop control over small and large body muscles through fingerplays, circle dances, and creative movement.
In Kindermusik, we’ll teach you all about brain development using music and movement as the tools in your parenting toolbox. You will learn of the songs, fingerplays, and dances you need, but we’ll also give you the time to settle in and savor these precious early years. You’ll be able to join right in on all the singing and dancing while also getting the chance to observe how your toddler learns on her own.
